
The Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s Stop it Now! campaign aims to prevent child sexual
abuse by encouraging early recognition and responses to the problem by potential
abusers themselves as well as those close to them. Stop it Now! argues that sexual
abuse is preventable and calls on abusers and potential abusers to seek help. To
date, the campaign has assisted more than 10,000 people who have called its confidential
helpline for advice and support. Stop it Now! is also committed to the education
and awareness-
At the end of 2009, in the build up to the sentencing of Vanessa George, the infamous perpetrator of crimes against tiny children at Little Ted’s Nursery in Plymouth, which raised the profile of female sexual offenders, Champollion worked with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation to inject their voice into the debate about the importance of taking preventative measures to protect children at risk of sexual abuse. In addition, Champollion has run media training sessions for Stop it Now! spokespeople who must meet the daily challenge of delivering highly sensitive and complex arguments to journalists and politicians.
