The Garfield Weston Foundation is a grant-giving charity endowed in 1958 by Willard
Garfield Weston – a Canadian businessman and creator of Associated British Foods
– and members of his family, many of whom are still trustees today. These days the
Foundation provides grants to a wide array of organisations – from small local community
projects to major national organisations. Their areas of focus span education, welfare,
young people, arts, religion, communities and the environment. Champollion was engaged
to provide strategic media relations support to the Foundation during the public
announcement of a large-scale donation to Oxford University's new Bodleian Library
in 2008.
