When the world was outraged by the contract-killing in 2006 of Anna Politkovskaya,
Russia's leading investigative journalist into the appalling war crimes of Chechnya,
Champollion was commissioned by a group of human rights activists from across Europe
to stimulate public interest in that region's forgotten humanitarian crisis. Working
with indigenous Chechen peace-makers, we helped to establish the Chechnya Peace Forum
in London to act as a focal point of global campaigning activity.
This started with our handling of the tragic case of the radioactive poisoning of
the former Russian security agent, Alexander Litvinenko. Now we are reaching out
to new high-profile supporters and delivering thought-provoking media initiatives.
We are honoured to be playing a key part in the effort to establish peace, reconciliation
and human rights in one of the most barbaric and victimised parts of the world.
“The Champollion team has provided the strategic insight, dedication and professionalism
to get our campaign off the ground. Their contacts and creativity are helping to
drive the cause of peace in Chechnya higher up the media and political agenda in
Europe, where it desperately deserves to be.”
