The International Consortium of British Pensioners (ICBP) is an entirely voluntary
organisation that represents ex-pat recipients of UK pensions currently residing
abroad, primarily in Canada, Australia and South Africa. Ex-pats who are entitled
to a UK State Pension, because they spent their working lives here and they paid
their contributions here, do not have equal right to those who still live here. They
are being denied their rightful income because the British Government has frozen
the sums paid to pensioners living in these three countries, among others.
The ICBP have taken their case to the European Court of Human Rights and are awaiting
a judgment. In the meantime, Champollion has been commissioned to help ensure that
once, as expected, a positive ruling is made, the British Government is compelled
to take notice and rectify this injustice.
